IN BATTLE Finalize Track Listing For 'Welcome To The Battlefield'

Sundsvall, Sweden-based death metallers IN BATTLE have finalized the track listing for their third full-length album, "Welcome to the Battlefield", due on September 20 through Cold/Metal Blade Records.

The recording of the new album started at Courthouse Studio in Östersund, Sweden, where the drums were recorded on February 2-3. The guitars and bass were recorded at Necromorbus Studio in Stockholm, Sweden between February 19 and March 7.

On March 9, the band got on the plane to Tampa, Florida, where they recorded the vocals at Erik Rutan's (HATE ETERNAL/ex-MORBID ANGEL guitarist) Mana Recording Studios with engineer Shawn Ohtani. The album was mixed and mastered at Mana Recording Studios by Rutan, who also laid down a guest appearance on lead guitar in the track "Serpents".

"Welcome to the Battlefield" contains 11 songs of "true aggression and boiling adrenaline," the band write in an official press release. "Erik Rutan did an awesome job with the sound. Every little tone, from the guitars to the drums, etc. came out great in this production."

Prior to the release of the new full-length album, IN BATTLE will issue a four-song EP, "Soul Metamorphosis", through Imperial Dawn Records. Download two tracks from the upcoming EP: "Pioneers of a Dead Future" (wma, 5.48 MB),"King God" (mp3, 2.94 MB).
